Affect of Diet on Acne

You may be surprised that there is no research to corroborate the fact that there isn't a link between diet and acne. You can continue eating your pizzas and French fries without any guilt and without the fear of acne outbreaks. It is true that acne is caused by excess secretion of oil by your sebaceous glands; people infer from this that oily food also causes acne. The oil secreted by the sebaceous glands is entirely different from the oil that you eat.

While it is true that diet doesn't affect acne, it is equally true that there are certain acne food triggers. Certain foods may turn out to be acne triggers for certain people. In this case it is advisable to avoid those foods. But in all other cases, there is no direct relationship between the food you eat and the occurrence of acne.

Should you continue eating all the junk food? Before this question is answered, ask yourself this question: if you had to choose between acne and a heart attack, what would you choose? Even if there is no affect of diet on acne, you can get heart disease if you continue eating all that unhealthy stuff. There might not be any correlation between your diet and acne, but your diet directly affects your health.
